Rent Relief for Mainers The MaineHousing COVID-19 Rent Relief Program is for renters who cannot afford to pay their rent due to circumstances related to the coronavirus pandemic. The program is designed to provide a one time bridge payment of up to $500, until the federal relief funds get to the individuals who need them. Learn more and APPLY HERE.

Could you or anyone you know use a weekly check-in call from friendly, caring EOC volunteers? Email the EOC and ask to have your/their name and phone number added to the Pandemic Storm Call List. People on the Call List receive reassurance from EOC volunteers, get help with challenges they are facing, and are given accurate, up-to-date information about Vinalhaven Covid-19 issues and guidelines. Anyone may be added to the Call List.

Local Help with Food

Little Free Food Pantry located in front of the Fire Station/Public Safety Building has free staples for anyone in need. No questions asked, nothing to sign up for, just come by and get what you need.

Vinalhaven Community Outreach (VCO) VCO has set up a COVID-19 fund to help islanders who are directly financially affected by the virus. Donations may be made to VCO, PO Box 15, VH with Covid-19 in the memo. People seeking assistance should email VCO.
